Sanchez-Fong has worked in the interior design and architecture industry for more than than 25 years. She believes in the restless process of design and education and its power to stimulate, provoke, and engage the human spirit. Her focus is on advancing service learning in college education to foster social responsibleness. Sanchez-Fong spearheads the section'southward service-learning initiatives and is the founder of the Integrated Service Learning Project. She has worked in New York; New Jersey; Florida; Washington, D.C.; London; Quito, Ecuador; and Bogota, Colombia. She has a BS in architecture and an MS in curriculum development and instructional applied science. She has been teaching in NYC since 1990 has served as FIT's Interior Design department chair since 2017.
Grazyna Pilatowicz
Pilatowicz is a total-time tenured faculty member and an assistant chair. She specializes in integrated sustainable pattern and programming and space planning for institutional projects. In the Interior Pattern Studios and Programming for the Senior Design Thesis course, she fosters students' creativity. She teaches design that is a homo-centered and research-based interdisciplinary process rooted in actual places and communities. She is NCIDQ certified, LEED AP, holds a MA in art history and a BFA in interior design. She is a professional member of IDEC, IIDA, and US GBC.
